The Kirkwood Parks Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing and expanding the park amenities across Kirkwood. Working hand-in-hand with the community, the Foundation helps fund visionary park improvements that extend beyond standard municipal budgets.

The Kirkwood Parks and Recreation Department maintains vibrant parks that serve as the heart of the community. The Kirkwood Parks Foundation exists to elevate those spaces even further by turning great community spaces into extraordinary assets for all residents to enjoy.

Park History

Opened November 1, 2008, and named for the residents who lived at the site for nearly 60 years. The park was purchased with funds from the 1/2 cent Park and Recreation Sales tax in December of 2005 and developed in part with grant money from the Municipal Park Grant Commission of St. Louis County.
