The Kirkwood Community Center and Kirkwood Ice Arena are currently closed to all activities.

All Kirkwood parks remain open, but playgrounds, restrooms and Tennis/Pickleball/Racquetball/Handball/Basketball courts are closed, they are high touch facilities and are closed to limit the spread of COVID - 19.

The facilities will be closed until further notice as we continue to monitor the situation and learn of any additional information as it becomes available from St. Louis County, the State of Missouri and or the federal government. Meet the New General Manager of the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center

Post Date:01/27/2020 2:08 PM

The City of Kirkwood has welcomed Rick Duplissie as the General Manager of the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center. Rick comes to us from the Dorothy Jemison Day Theater at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, where he served as Director. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Culver Stockton College and a Master of Fine Arts from Western Illinois University. Originally from Missouri, he has taught for Drury University in Rolla, Ft Wood, St Robert, and Lebanon. He then worked at UCM in Warrensburg for 3 years and spent the next 8 in Kansas City.

Rick brings a wealth of experience from the Dorothy Jemison Day Theater and the Kansas City Repertory Theatre, where he focused on finding innovative ways to enhance the patron experience while producing community-centric programming and thoughtfully engaging regional partners.

Rick is excited to join the Kirkwood community as GM for the Performing Arts Center because the opening of, what he considers to be, a world-class state of the art facility brings enormous potential for the development of a thriving arts corridor in a community space like the Performing Arts Center. He is eager to start programming a fully rounded Performing Arts Series, including film, dance, music, opera, aerial arts and children’s programming.
